My girlfriends uncle commited suicide?

and that happen to be one of the days she needed me the most... we live an hour away from each other and i tried my hardest to get to her so i played my ukulele in the streets and only made 8 dollars when the train to get to her is 13 dollars.. she has held a grudge against me for not seeing her that day and its ruining our relation ship. ive gone to see her twice a week wich cost me 30 dollars round trip and i randomly showed up at her house with a huge batch of flowers and hugged her and told her i was sorry and we spend the weekend together and she was smiling the whole weekend but she randomly still get upset and holds this grudge against me and has her mood swings and is very attitudinal and nasty towards me...what should i do.. she even told me she wont drop the grudge even if i said im sorry 100 times or went to go see her 100 times in a row..
