What are the food expenses of a single man living in NYC (Manhattan) monthly or weekly?

When I went to New York city, my average lunch would cost me $20. Whether a steak, or soup & noodles, my check would always come out to something around $20. If you want good food that they cook in Rockefeller Center restaurants, your check would come out to about $50 for one portion of fish for example. If you go outside Manhattan to like the Fish Market, you could get absolutely delicious seafood with a dessert for about $30. I would speculate if you are a college student, you would not spend more than $550 a week if you be careful enough, assuming that you eat in a restaurant three times a day.
